Since
Pine Needles offers two different 18-hole courses, players may
select one that is perfectly suited to their
abilities.
The Pine's front nine offers golfers a variety of challenging holes with a
brook that comes into play on four of them. Its back nine,
however, is the
shortest layout filled with some interesting holes. Accuracy is
far more important than distance on this course. Finally, the
River is the newest and toughest layout. A combination of water,
trees, doglegs, and distance will give any golfer an interesting
challenge.

Hole
#7 Pine (435 yards Par 4)
A drive left of the trees is the shortest and safest route
to the green. With the wind at your back, the brook is a possibility
off the tee. |
Hole # 13 Pine (416 yards Par 4)
A drive of 210 will get you past the trees and into the dogleg.
This green is level and fast. Be careful on your approach.
|
Hole #2 River (405 yards Par 4)
205 yards will put you in the middle of the landing area just
past the little tree. There is a "seniors" tee just
before the bridge. The green slopes back to front. |
Hole #4 River (488 yards Par 4)
250 yards from the blue or 200 yards from the white tees will
get you to the top of the ridge. However, it is easier to
hit to the front of the red tees. After that its easy. |
